Hello!
I am back to make another post.
This blog is a requirement of a class I am taking. The course is CTEC 115, Internet Research Online.
To be quite honest, research on the internet isn't something new to me. I have my favorite websites and authors that I watch out for, and my adeptness at getting answers for the topics I have concerns about is pretty good. I even have another blog, tho I have not been consistent in it's upkeep. It would be good for me to attend to that issue.
Nonetheless, it will do me no harm to actually take a course on this subject and see what else I can learn. In my opinon all knowledge is good knowledge, even if it is only the knowledge that I have enough knowledge on the subject. The very act of learning is beneficial to the old Gray Matter. Finding new ways to do more effective research online would be a nice thing.
I find that I like doing research online. Yes, I can do research via libraries, interviews and the like, but that can be very time consuming. There are times when a false lead can take a while to track down and confirm, that's wasted time, and I don't like wasting time.
As to what other online communities I am part of, I have a profile on Facebook. That account is primarily for keeping up with family and friends. Twitter is also in my mix, but I'm seriously considering deleting that feed. It is just not helpful in any real sense, mostly because of the short bursts of information. I have a few entities that I follow on YouTube. Those are mostly for entertainment purposes, except for Khan Academy, of course, but even Salmon Khan has his entertaining moments.
Just to prove I can actually post pictures to this medium, here a humorous one I like.
This concludes my blog post for today. Thank you for your kind attention.

Hello, and welcome to this new blog!
I am ... not going to reveal my name, so you can call me Writer. I am female, older - over 40, but not over 70 - and presently in college. I'm presently learning how to create a blog and how to do research online. This blog will be about my journey, and also, by default, about the topics I will be researching. I'll get back to this later when I have more to report.
"And I'm back!"
My first hurtle was trying to find a name for this thing, which was easier than I thought. I just used the example blog - risforresearch.blogspot.com - and changed the first three letters, and came up with rforresearch.blogspot.com
My next challenge was to choose a template, but I can always change that later if I want, so I chose a simple, plain one. I will change it later.
The last thing I needed to do before logging officially off was to make this post, and I've done that now, so there you have it.
Ta Da!
